| Gerry Cook writes: It's almost here...my retirement from the US Air Force Civil service of which I've been a working member since 1972. I can't believe how time has flown by for this great retirement feeling to have arrived! I hope to stay busy and do some things now that I've not been able to do being on the job. I will stay in contact with my classmates regardless and hope to hear from a lot of you in the future. To my buddy, Ken Winter, thanks for the Air Minden poster print, it is a real jewel of a print and only demonstrates one area of Ken's amazing talents . I always admired his work, cartooning, auto designing, science endeavors like our rocketry days in Sinclair and all the stories and poems he wrote. Well, bye for now, and stay in touch ok folks! Love to all....Gerry | ||
| Ken Winter writes: I received an e-note from Ray Martin. He told me about the website and I popped in for a visit. This is way too cool! When I read Gerry Cook's message and his kind words, I zipped him off an e-mail and wanted to leave a note here as well. Yup, still working and probably will be for some time yet. However, It's a labor of love and those close to me would tell you that I've been semi-retired for years. There is an old saying tacked above my desk in an effort to keep me from wandering too far afield. "The Difference Between Genius And Stupidity Is That Genius Has It's Limitations". I still push the envelope on the stupidity side whenever possible. Sure had a great time at the reunion and enjoyed seeing everyone. Looking forward to doing it again. This website will be a great way to stay in touch. Best wishes to all of you...Ken | ||
| Tiny Ray writes: Howdy, Yes, I am still doing busy work trying to keep us better connected and I do feel that this web site will help in doing just that. I had the pleasure of being able to attend all four of our class reunions and hope to be around for a few more. I guess we all have reached an age of wanting to hold on to our past and our many, many friends from our grade school and high school days. I think that we have shown this in our turnouts for all our past reunions and now even today we are planning our next one. Some of us that live close by have been getting together every month for lunch, started out in Cheyenne, moved to Fort Collins and then to Denver and plans to go to Fort Collins again and then a weekend at Ryan Park and Jill and Larry's cabin in June. You have to keep coming back to this website site to keep track of everything that is going on, where and when. Is this great or what? Of course, we have it all thanks to Lee Bonnett, the master mind behind the Web Site and he keeps improving it all the time. But he also needs our help in making suggestions and keeping the postings up to date. Just write him by clicking on the WebMaster Icon and tell him what you think, what you would like to add or just tell him what a great job he has done. Thanks to all of you for making the 40th Class Reunion Of The Great Rawlins High School Class Of 1962 such a fantastic success! Now let us focus on 2006 and make the birthday party for the Class of 62 turning 62. OK? | ||
| Ted Wolfe writes: It all started before the Reunion, with a simple luncheon in Cheyenne, Wyo with Tiny and Diana Martin, Joey and Don Crawford, Jill Latier Martin and Ted Wolfe. That has grown into a monthly event and the group has more than doubled and we have different people coming in and out all the time. You can see pictures submitted by Joey of the April 27, 2003 meeting. We are planning a luncheon meeting in Ft. Collins at the Golden Corral June 1, 2003, a weekend in Saratoga at Jill and Larry' cabin on the 28th and 29th of June. In July, the last full week which is July 19-27, we are having the first ever Class of '62 summer vacation in Northern Wyoming. We will be starting it off with Ed and Roni McAuslan as our hosts in Riverton. For more information, contact Ted Wolfe; 2225 Ouray Ct.; Ft. Collins, CO; 80525; 970-221-2440 or e-mail tedwolfe@juno.com. COME AND JOIN US. | ||
| Maggie (Zanoni) Miracle writes: I have been catching up on a lot of things of late and came across a wonderful news letter and photos of the reunion last summer. My husband was very ill at the time and I did not feel I could leave home. I was so sorry to miss the reunion and also missed one in Torrington. I have just made a check to send to Don Pixler for helping with this wonderful web site. I have so enjoyed reading everything and seeing the great photos. I am so pleased that you are all staying in touch. My husband passed away on Sept. 11, 2002. He had cancer diagnosed Apr 2001 and after treatments it went into remission and then returned last May 2002. He was a neat person and I am sorry he could not have met you nor you him. He was 16 years older than me and was retired CEO of Wyo. National Bank Corp. and those banks are now Wells Fargo of Wyo. He went to school in Casper and Univ. Of Wy. but his last two years of High School and 2 years of junior college he attended in Santa Ana, Calif. That is the reason we spend 2-3 months in Calif. I did this year by myself and it was OK. I still live at the same address in Casper. My daughter, Becky MacPherson lives her with her two children, Devan (9 yrs.) and Ashlynn (just turned 2 yrs.) My son, Bill MacPherson lives in Rawlins and practices law with his father et al. He has a daughter, Chelsi (13 yrs.) and 2-1/2 years ago he remarried and his wife Diane Harshman (her Dad was Bill - class of 1961). Most of you probably know Bill passed away in Oct. 2001. I have had many projects going on so that has kept me busy. In the summer I play golf and try to keep flowers blooming in the garden and the weeds out. Winter I keep busy with various activities and then go to Calif. the first of Feb. til about mid-Apr. I will check out this site periodically as I enjoy reading the posts and keeping up. I wish you all a wonderful summer. ~~ Madeline 'Maggie' Miracle ~~ |

| Ray Martin writes: I would like to add a few items while I am thinking of them and hope that you all keep coming back to this site with new and exciting things. Your life may be dull to you, but we like hearing from all of you and to know what you have been doing. First off, those of you with E-maill addresses, please try to remember to either keep me posted of your address changes. (Both E-mail and letter mail). We have lost some of you since our reunion. The other good news is that a small group of us in Wyoming and Colorado try to get together every so often for lunch. We, would like to see more of us attend the lunch. They are always on a Sunday and we will be posting the information on the "Get-Togethers" section of the Web page as to when and where the lunch will be held along with some type of directons as to get there. I will also send out this information to all of you with E-mail addresses near and far. Just in case you are close by when we are having a lunch. We would also like to ask that you do the same in your areas of the US, if two or more of you live close by, have lunch once in awhile and let us know about who was there and things like that. So, come on and get active with "OUR" web page. We all want to hear from you. The Rawlins High School Class of 1962 was something special! Ray |
